1. The service and the parties
RestMap helps you find useful places and events, view listings and reviews, add content and suggest corrections. The promotional website introduces the app and provides download links.
RestMap is not the organiser of every event or the owner of every place shown on the map. A listing may come from a user, an organiser or a public source; ticket links lead to the named provider.
You can browse the map without an account. Signing in is required to post content, save certain actions and access some features.
RestMap is provided by Dmitrii Petrov as an individual, based in Armenia. Contact email: com.restmap.app@gmail.com.
The App Store age rating is 4+. Where applicable law requires a legal representative’s consent for a minor to accept these terms or use particular features, that consent must be obtained as required by that law.
2. Your account and secure access
Use a sign-in method that belongs to you and keep your contact details up to date. Do not share sign-in codes or impersonate another person.
If someone else may have gained access to your account, email com.restmap.app@gmail.com. Account actions may require verification that the account belongs to you.
To request deletion, open Profile → Info → Delete in the app. Signing out or uninstalling the app does not itself delete your account. Registering again after deletion creates a separate account and does not restore the former profile or its data. See “Account and data deletion” for details.
3. Your content and rights
You retain the rights to the text and photos you create. By posting content, you confirm that you have the right to provide it and that doing so does not infringe others’ rights.
To operate RestMap, you grant a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to store, technically process, reproduce and display your published content to users of the service. This right applies in the territories where the service is available and is limited to providing RestMap. Technical service providers may process the content for these purposes on the operator’s behalf.
This licence does not transfer ownership of your content to RestMap and does not replace the legal bases required for processing personal data. Once content is deleted, its use must cease, except for justified retention under law and a limited technical period for clearing copies.
4. Rules for posting and conduct
- Post information relevant to a place or event; do not present assumptions as verified facts.
- Do not post other people’s personal data without an appropriate basis, threats, harassment, illegal material or content that infringes copyright.
- Do not use the service for spam, fraud, review manipulation, bypassing restrictions or attacks on infrastructure.
- Follow the access conditions of the actual place and the event organiser’s rules. A RestMap listing does not, by itself, grant permission to enter.
5. Reports, corrections and restrictions
The RestMap team is responsible for moderating content, reviewing information and handling reports.
If information is incorrect or content infringes rights, use the reporting or correction option available in the app, or write to com.restmap.app@gmail.com. Identify the listing or content, explain your concern and provide information that will help us review it.
A confirmed violation may require content to be corrected or removed, certain actions to be restricted or account access to be limited. The measure must take into account the nature of the violation and the user’s applicable rights.
If you disagree with a restriction, you can send a request with an explanation and additional information to the same address.
6. Voluntary support for the project
Supporting RestMap is voluntary and helps develop the project. In the current model, support does not unlock additional features or provide advantages when using the app.
A supporter status may appear in your profile. It does not change access to app features.
Available support options, price, currency, whether charges are one-off or recurring, and any automatic renewal must be shown before payment is confirmed. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are processed by the relevant store.
An existing subscription and renewal cancellation are managed through the store settings. Deleting the RestMap app or account does not itself cancel a subscription. Refund enquiries are handled under the relevant purchase terms and applicable law; mandatory user rights remain available.
7. Information about places and events
Opening hours, prices, access to a place, and event programmes and times may change. Before travelling or buying tickets, check important details with the owner or organiser.
Photos and reviews describe experiences or information at a particular time. A verification or moderation label is not a promise of safety, availability or unchanged conditions.
The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or technical faults. RestMap does not replace emergency services. These provisions do not exclude liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. Third-party content and maps
Maps, open geodata, photos, event posters and other third-party material may have separate terms of use and attribution requirements. These terms do not declare all RestMap content to be the operator’s property or apply a single licence to the entire service.
Some place information comes from OpenStreetMap; these data are subject to the ODbL terms and attribution requirements for OpenStreetMap contributors. Google, Yandex and Apple mapping services are used depending on platform and feature and have their own terms. Links to ticket sellers or other external services are governed by the relevant provider’s terms.
9. Changes and ending your use of the service
You can stop using the service and request deletion of your account and data. Changes that significantly affect rights or paid features require advance notice to users through the applicable process.
Publishing new terms does not, by itself, permit the removal of mandatory rights, unlawful worsening of terms already paid for, or replacement of consent where consent is required.
10. Requests and applicable rights
For questions about the service, write to com.restmap.app@gmail.com. Identify the account or listing concerned and the outcome you are seeking.
Mandatory consumer and data protection rights under applicable law remain unaffected. These terms do not require you to waive your right to contact a competent court or supervisory authority.
